Ready to join? Help The Oceans welcomes passionate individual crew aboard our sailboat. We're looking for people of all ages, backgrounds and skills who are ready for the adventure of a lifetime as they help and clean the world’s oceans.

Oceans need you
We are looking for passionate ocean defenders who aren’t afraid of hard work, no pay, long hours, dangerous conditions and extreme weather.
We need volunteers motivated by the fight to defend, conserve and protect our Oceans and marine wildlife from plastic threats they are facing today.
Help The Oceans operates on very limited resources, most of them going directly to maintain and operate our Sailboat and all surveillance equipment's.
Our volunteer crew members are key to the success of our direct-action oceans campaigns!
Help The Oceans sailboat will be crewed by volunteers of all backgrounds from all over the world.
While preference is given to technically-skilled volunteers for positions such as sailor's, navigators, cooks and medics, we also need deckhands to keep the boat running smoothly.
Previous experience working on board a sailboat is not required if you’re willing to learn new skills!
To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a minimum of 18 years old.
- You must know how to swim.
- You must comply with the Help The Oceans “zero tolerance” drug policy and Non smoking rules as our Sailboat is 100% NON Smoking area.
- You are financially responsible for travel to and from sailboat and all personal items.
- You must agree to be filmed/photographed while on campaign.

All Help The Oceans crew are given bunk and bedding and board meals, as well as onboard training by veteran crewmembers.
Positions Available
Primary area on our sailboat Pilothouse,, Deck, Engine Room, Galley and Media.
We are looking for sailors, marine engineers, mechanics, electricians, cooks, medics or nurses, small dinghy driver, photo/videographers, computer and networking specialists, electronics hobbyists or experts and even a few unskilled dedicated Ocean lovers who are willing to be trained.

Timeframe
Help The Oceans campaigns will take place throughout the year and can be longer than 120 days, with many lasting up to year or more.
Preference is given to volunteers who are available for the most time.
For new crewmembers with no specialized skills we look for a commitment of four to six months.

Locations
Our campaigns take place in oceans around the world, including the Antarctic, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
Transportation to and from the boat is the responsibility of each volunteer.
